Leaders have provided flexibility to team members by establishing a 40-hour workweek, enabling employees at this software development company to bring their children and pets to work and offering a “no questions asked” parent/family/medical/school leave. Employees are paired in teams, as it improves collaboration. Pairing also provides the opportunity for continuous mentoring and leadership not based on authority or age. Collective knowledge is increased through a flexible working environment as excessive absenteeism and turnover rates are minimal.
